by Frances Eridio
Beginner level
Step by step tutorial:
1. Open Canva and click Create Design.
2. Choose your desired size.
3. Go to uploads and drag the photo.
4. Crop and adjust the photo according to how you want it to expand.
5. Select the photo and click “edit photo”
6. Click “Magic Expand”
7. Choose the size or bounds of the expansion. For this, I’ll be using “whole page”
8. Click Magic Expand and wait for it to generate results.
9. Choose from the generated results, but if you don’t like any of them, you can click “Generate new results” for more options.
10. Click done and you can export the photo.
Sometimes, the expansion is not perfect and you can see where the photo was expanded. To fix that:
-
Open Photoshop.
-
Experiment with the spot healing brush tool and/or healing brush tool and see what will be the most natural looking.
